Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo(A notable Politician and nationalist)of blessed memory once told this story about himself."When i got married,i decided to live on how to live a life of virtue.And so when i got to England in 1944(and i was there till 1947),women came to me and some of them were single.They asked why i was was going to buy things for myself at the grocery,Friuts and Food Stores!When i saw this,i was afraid because i had been married for seven years.I had disciplined myself and stuck to one wife.How can a REASONABLE man allow ten minutes of enjoyment to destroy seven years of a happr married life?No Way!You know many of these girls patronized nightclubs in Britain.At one time my friend invited me to accompany him to a night club.Knowing the possible consequences,i refused to go!I was a married man and that was it.on that night,the night club i declined to go was raided and lots of people were killed."...Sounds like a fairy tale for a man that was using just"Will Power"Awolowo was known by his generation for discipline and self control.You have the Holy Ghost.You can do all things better this 2011 ,resist temptations of money,women,men,careless and proud spending.anger,lust of the flesh,lust of the eyes,etcit takes a sound mind to be in charge of yourself.Today's scripture declares in verse 7,that you have a sound mind.NOW IS IT REASONABLE TO LIVE IN SIN WHEN YOU KNOW THERE IS HELL FIRE?is it reasonable to le 2minutes immorality destroy your life,ministry,intergrity?is it reasonable to block your breakthrough/living through bitterness,unforgiveness,too much sleep or food?Think!And think!until you conquer yourself,you have conqere nothing!
